After 5 years on the Inter bench, Giovanni Trapattoni returns to Juventus. In his place, in the neroazzurra home, president Pellegrini calls Corrado Orrico, an ambitious coach with a wealth of experience in “provincial” teams. The Nerazzurri team was immediately ousted from the Uefa Cup at the hands of Boavista; in the league, Inter have scored 17 draws in 34 games, even 11 at home, placing themselves in eighth place. Corrado Orrico decides to resign on matchday seventeenth, Luisis Suarez was unable to do better in his place, thus confirming one of Inter's most disappointing seasons.
